The tourist attraction of Northern Vietnam – Ta Xua

The challenging mountainous area Ta Xua of Bac Yen, Son La, surrounded by white clouds is worthy for the position of one of the most beautiful places​ thanks to its magnificent natural beauty, rarely seen in anywhere else in the world. This place has become the favorite spot​for the photographers who share the passion of hunting wonderful, impressive photoshoots of breath-taking views from the top of mountains.


Ta Xua magnificent scenery

To come to Ta Xua, from Hanoi, we have to follow the road of more than 200km along the national road 32 through Son Tay – Ha Trung – Thu Cuc, and then turn to Highway 37 with steep passages. The road to Ta Xua commune is quite small nowadays, sometimes there are some landslides after the heavy rain. On the foggy day, the road to climb to the top of Ta Xua will really challenge any motorcyclists.

In the cloudy and foggy days, standing on the peaks of Ta Xua, visitors will feel the land and sky very close to each other. As for the sunny days, Ta Xua appears with a majestic landscape, with the deep green of the mountains, and white of clouds​ on the blue sky.


The sea of clouds in Ta Xua

The climate in Ta Xua is cool all year round, which is perfect​ for exploring, taking photos. At altitudes above 1500 m, in summer the temperature of the day never exceeds 28 degrees Celsius, at night, in the early morning the temperature drops to 17-18 degrees Celsius. In winter, the temperature is lower than the deltas 5-7 degrees. However, thanks to this cold weather, Ta Xua can attract lots of visitors, nature-lovers and adventurers each year.

And especially when the sun slowly rises out of the thick layer of white clouds like a red pearl slowly appears from the floppy white smoke. The Ta Xua valleys are surrounded by high mountains. Clouds flying​ into the valleys are so light and soft that they keep being floated by the wind all the time.


Breath-taking landscapes of Ta Xua

Clouds in Ta Xua are also different from Y Ty, Sapa, Sin Ho, Tam Dao,… because it lasts very long. Everyone can take pictures and enjoy the magnificent views of clouds from early morning until 11-12 noon. From 6h to 7h in the morning, standing on the peak, in just minutes the valley will become a giant sea of clouds, very surprising, very beautiful that no word can describe.

Living in a remote, mountainous area, cloud is the H’mong ethnic family. The houses here are usually very low, with an area of 20 – 30m², roofed by sheets of cement. The main door of their house always​ looks out to the sea of clouds to the day to pick up fresh air.

In addition to grow rice on terraced fields, the locals​ also grow the teas too. Tourists can easily meet the image of H’mong girls on their colorful clothes are picking up the tea leaves under the blue sky. Such an amazingly beautiful scenery that you can ever see!
