The beautiful highlands in Vietnam that you should come at least once (part 1)

Moc Chau, Dong Van, Bac Ha, Di Linh, Pleiku,… are highlands with fresh and cool climate, lovely people, especially in the spring.

1. Moc Chau

Moc Chau plateau of Moc Chau district, Son La province is more than 1,000 meters above sea level, about 200 km from Hanoi. This is a destination attracting a lot of tourists, especially in the spring thanks to the splendor of nature, flowers blooming​ everywhere. Not only in spring, in the summer, visitors also come here because of the cool, fresh climate.

Moc Chau with poetic scenery

With favorable terrain and climate, Moc Chau has developed very well in dairy farming and planting such as tea, peach, plum,… Especially around October, Moc Chau will have a season of blossoming Tam Giac Mach flowers, with flower fields which is such beautiful that steal any tourist’s heart once admiring.

Coming to Moc Chau, visitors can also enjoy the specialties of mountainous ethnic groups such as veal, fish from stream, smoked buffalo meat, wild taro, …

2. Dong Van

Located 132 km from Ha Giang town, Dong Van stone plateau stretching in four districts: Quan Ba, Yen Minh, Dong Van and Meo Vac. It is now recognized as UNESCO’s global geological park. Dong Van is located at an average height, about 1,000-1,600 meters above sea level, is one of the most beautiful highlands in Vietnam with 80% of limestone area with numerous fossils dating back 400 to 600 million years. And this is a great place for any archaeological research.

3. Bac Ha

The Bac Ha Plateau, also known as the White Plateau, lies between the two provinces: Lao Cai and Ha Giang, with the area stretching to the districts of Bac Ha, like Si Ma Cai, Xin Man and Hoang Su Phi. The plateau has an average elevation of 1,000 m and the highest peak is Kieu Lieu Ti. Bac Ha Plateau has many limestone mountains with breath-taking landscapes side by side. Traveling here, travelers will be able to enjoy the famous Bac Ha plums cultivated by local people.
