These dishes are from another province in Vietnam or even from another country, but when it’s adjusted to the list of Da Lat’s cuisine, they become an essential part that can’t be missed whenever mentioning about this misty city.
1. Grilled rice paper
Grilled rice paper is quite popular and well-known to many visitors when coming to Da Lat.
In the cold afternoon of Da Lat, sitting near the charcoal stove, looking at the sellers with their skillful hands making the grilled rice paper, smelling the fancy fragrance of this dish,… you’ll see it like an harmony of flavors, with a bit cooking oil, fish sauce, cheese and spring onion,… all aren’t only an exposure of flavors but also an exposure of colors, with green, red, a little black,… very eye-catching.

Processed not too sophisticated, the cake’s cover is also made from rice flour, but because it’s mixed with many other ingredients and cooked in different ways when coming to Da Lat, therefore, Can cake becomes an attractive thing that tourists can’t ignore whenever coming here.

There’s one food you can’t ignore when coming to Da Lat, that is the steamed rice paper with chicken viscera. It can be a bit strange to some people who are already get used to the normal kinds of steamed rice paper, but once trying this and you will be addicted.
In Da Lat, people do not eat steamed rice paper with spring rolls as the way that people in other places use to eat, they eat the steamed rice paper with chicken, or chicken viscera with the very special fish sauce.
